From what I’ve seen over the years, people don’t always lie outright, but they do stretch the truth. The problem is, it nearly always catches up with them at some point in the process or once they’re in the job.
On the flip side, not all jobs are advertised. A lot of hiring still happens through networks, referrals, and direct approaches.
