How to get a UK Work visa.

I would say nearly 50% of job applications in the UK are made by people that are not from the UK, and don’t have the right to work in the UK.

And a lot of candidates I reject from these countries always ask the question how? how do I get a visa?

And the answer is, stop applying for jobs that are market “Must have the right to work in the UK” and pour your time into finding out how, and where you can find a job in the UK. Job boards rarely help in the UK.

I reject 100% of applications that do not have the right to work in the UK, because in my long 17 years in Recruitment, I have worked with 1 company that would consider applications outside the EU, and NEVER witnessed them succeed it. I am not saying there aren’t agencies that do look at People from outside the UK to work in the UK. But I am saying there aren’t many.

So what have you got to do, if you want to work in the UK.

You need to start here – the UK Immigration website – to see if you are the right skill/experience the UK needs. Also, there are tests and levels of English you will need to know.

Then, when you have established if you are a skill/need the UK wants, head over to here – https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/register-of-licensed-sponsors-workers this is a list of Businesses in the UK that have a licence to sponsor candidates from another country, to work in the UK.
